# Dotfiles

Configuration files, stored in a bare git repository. Avoid symlinks and extra tooling

Use:

    git init --bare ~/dotfiles
    alias dotfiles='git --git-dir=$HOME/dotfiles --work-tree=$HOME'

Au lieu de
dotfiles config status.showUntrackedFiles no
    cat ~/.gitignore :
    *

On other machine, to reconstruct:
    git clone --bare git@bip.im:dotfiles dotfiles
    alias dotfiles as above
    dotfiles checkout
remove files in the way if necessary

Manage one branch per computer if necessary.

If a change is for all, do it on master, then: dotfiles merge master
